Notify MeArgyranthemum Angelic White Chic is a compact, long-flowering marguerite daisy, producing elegant white petals surrounding a soft yellow centre. Blooming from spring through to autumn, this variety offers a continuous display above finely cut green foliage, bringing a crisp, clean look to garden spaces and containers.
Ideal for patio pots, mixed borders, and sunny garden beds. Complements coastal, Mediterranean, and cottage garden styles.
Thrives in full sun and well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Regular deadheading encourages prolonged flowering. Space plants 30–40 cm apart for a full, bushy effect.
Mature size: Reaches 30–40 cm tall with a compact, rounded spread of up to 40–50 cm.
Trimming: Lightly trim back after each flush of flowers to maintain a neat, compact shape and encourage repeat flowering. In late winter or early spring, give a more thorough prune to rejuvenate the plant.
Deadheading: Regularly deadhead spent blooms to extend the flowering period and keep the plant tidy.
Fertilising: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in early spring, and supplement with a liquid feed every 2–4 weeks during the flowering season for best results.
Watering: Water regularly, especially during dry or hot spells. While moderately drought-tolerant once established, consistent moisture encourages prolific flowering. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
Pest Control: Watch for aphids and whitefly on tender new growth. Treat with insecticidal soap or horticultural oil if needed.
Disease Management: Susceptible to powdery mildew in humid or overcrowded conditions. Improve airflow, avoid overhead watering, and remove any infected leaves. Apply a fungicide if problems persist.
