Metasequoia glyptostroboides - Field-Grown

Metasequoia glyptostroboides is a stunning deciduous tree with a slender, pyramidal form. Resembles the California Redwood. Ideal as an upright specimen tree. Soft, fern-like leaves are bright green through summer and become red-brown to orange-brown in Autumn. Grows to 21-30m tall and 4-8m wide. Loves full sun and moist to well-drained soils. 

Field-grown plants are grown directly in open fields, enabling their roots to spread and develop naturally, resulting in larger size, established root systems, and increased resilience. When transporting these plants, hessian, a coarse fabric made from natural fibres like jute, is commonly used to wrap their roots, providing protection during transportation and handling.
