Camellia Setsugekka - Field-Grown

Camellia Setsugekka is a vigorous evergreen shrub that reaches a height of 2.4 to 3.7m and spreads to a width of 1.8 to 3m at maturity. It has an upright growth habit and dense foliage. This plant thrives in partial shade to full sun, benefiting from some protection from harsh afternoon sun. It prefers moist, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic pH of 5.5 to 6.5. Regular watering is essential during dry periods.

Field-grown plants are grown directly in open fields, enabling their roots to spread and develop naturally, resulting in larger size, established root systems, and increased resilience. When transporting these plants, hessian, a coarse fabric made from natural fibres like jute, is commonly used to wrap their roots, providing protection during transportation and handling.
