Corokia Bronze Knight

Corokia ‘Bronze Knight’ is a cultivar that is very similar to Corokia x. virgata 'Cheesemanii’ which occurs as a variable natural hybrid wherever Corokia cotoneaster and Corokia buddleoides meet. It is an erect, much-branched, twiggy shrub that will grow to from 1.8-2.4 m tall. Its leaves which are similar to Corokia x. virgata 'Cheesemanii’ but smaller, are of a green colour with bronze spread through or around the margins, that becomes more pronounced in the winter. It produces yellow flowers and deep red fruit. Other bronze cultivars are considered superior, however it fruits well. It makes a great hedge and is hardy to dry exposed conditions.
