Prunus campaulata Pink Cloud - Bare-Rooted

Prunus campaulata Pink Cloud, commonly known as the Pink Cloud Formosan Cherry, is a vibrant deciduous tree that is one of the earliest to come into blossom with its bright pink, bell-shaped flowers that cover the bare branches, creating a stunning contrast against the still-dormant landscape and delighting birds with their nectar. As the flowering season ends, the tree produces attractive, glossy green leaves that provide summer interest.

Perfect for use as a focal point, along driveways, streets or as a shade tree in smaller gardens. It thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained, fertile soil. This tree is well-suited to a variety of garden styles, including cottage, Japanese, and contemporary designs.

When planting the Pink Cloud Formosan Cherry, space the trees about 4m apart to allow for their mature size and spread. Regular watering is essential during the establishment period, but the tree is moderately drought-tolerant once mature. This tree is relatively low-maintenance and provides a spectacular floral display with minimal effort.

Grows up to 5m tall and 4m wide.

What is a bare-rooted tree?

Bare-rooted trees are deciduous trees that have been grown in the ground and are dug up when they've become dormant in the winter. The soil is shaken from their roots and they are bundled up with their roots packed in moist material to prevent dehydration during transport.
